July 2009: Great Taste Awards 2009

Our Organic Wholemeal flour and Organic Wheatear Flour Mix both won 2 Gold Stars.

The awards are described as Ocars of the food industry, there were over 4700 enties that were blind tasted by two teams consisting of leading chefs, food critics and writers.

June 2009: Open Day Sunday 14th June.

What a great day over 900 visitors and raised £4200 for school pool restoration fund yay, thanks to everyone who supported and helped

East Midlands Today came out an filmed, went out on News on 10 June 2009, the ducks wern't camera shy!!!!!

Tuesday 3rd claybrooke Mill featured on Cash in the Attic presented by Jules Hudson, they filmed last year, does't the mill look stunning!

We have had to carry out some repairs to the water wheel this year as one of the sole boards that line the wheel had rotted away. We have been putting this job of until we had run out of grain, which is when we carry out any repairs to the mill. It is also the time that we dress the stones, which needed quite a bit of work this year. Happy to report that the mill is now working better than ever now and working flat out!!

We had a delivery of new grain, which put the new auger to the test!! Appart from a couple of minor hitches it works well, we didn't realise how wornout the old auger was!

2009 Ashton Lodge Hotel winner of Best Breakfast 

Coventry and Warwickshire Food and Drink awards, awarded Ashton Lodge Hotel with the winner of Best Breakfast along with chapion of local produce. Ashton serve up Miller's Muesli as part of their Breakfast.

September 2008 Organic Food Awards Presentation

We went to the award ceremony in Bristol at Bordeaux Quay for a lovely liunch and got presented with our award by Monty Don.

August 2008: Organic Food Awards Cereal Section Winner!

Organic Super Muesli won the Cereal category of the Organic Food Awards run by the Soil Association.

Judges Comment: 'This looks and tastes like the real deal: simple, rich and gimmick-free'

The awards name Britian's best organic producers in the Times on Saurday the 30th August 2008. The Judges spent 4 days blind tasting through 900 entries in 12 categories.

The Organic Super Muesli has also won a Silver at the Great Taste Awards in 2005.

August 2008: Struck Gold in the 2008 Great Taste Awards Twice!

Claybrooke Mill has won two awards one for Organic Siskin Flour Mix and one for Organic Nuthatch Flour Mix, both Gold stars.

The awards are organised by the Guild of fine food and were judged over several weeks by a team of 12 judges. Nearly 4800 entries were judged by 160 judges to find the winners.

October 2007: Appeared on ITV's Country Lives.

The team came out at easter and filmed for the tv programe Country Lives, presented by Miranda Krestovnikoff.

September 2007: Open day.

The open day on Sunday the 23rd September was a huge sucess over 600 people attended and we raised £2801.59 for Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance based at Coventry Airport. 

Septmber 2007: Lakeland Contract started.

Started to supply Lakeland with Dough Improver and Relaxer.

September 2006: Open Day.

What a fantastic day over 400 visitors raising £3190.00 for the County Air Ambulance.

August 2006: Great Taste Award for Organic No Nut Muesli.

Over 4500 products were judged. We were awarded a Bronze for Our Organic No Nut Muesli.

August 2005: Great Taste Award for Organic Super Muesli.

ovr 4000 products were judged. We were awarded a Silver for our Organic Super Muesli.

May 2005: Opne day in aid of County Air Ambulance raising £1155.85

October 2004: Open day in aid of County Air Ambulance raising £326.25.

October 2002: Open day at Claybrooke Mill raising £520 for Cancer Research UK.

June 2002: Open day at Claybrooke Mill.

July 2001: Sally and Spencer take over claybrooke water mill.

1991: Became licenced by Soil Association and started producing organic flours.

1987: Claybrooke Mill fist started milling flour in 1987. After nearly 20 years of restoration.
